Before you begin

First installation: The Scribe may need to download required transcription models and supporting components the first time you use relevant features. This initial setup can take some time depending on your internet connection. Keep the application open and your computer connected to power until it confirms that setup is complete.

Local transcription time: Recording and transcription are performed locally on your computer. The time required depends on the recording length, model selected, available memory, processor, and overall computer speed. Please wait for the progress to complete; do not close the application, rename or move the source audio, or turn off the computer while transcription is running.

Your content and responsibility: Only download, import, record, transcribe, or republish material that you own or are legally authorized to use. You are responsible for obtaining permissions, respecting copyright, privacy, consent, and applicable laws, and reviewing all generated output. To the fullest extent permitted by law, responsibility and liability arising from the material you process or publish rests with you, the user.
